When we think of a heart, the first thing we think of is the physical organ that pumps blood. When we hear expressions like, “He does not have a heart for it,” or “He played the game with all his heart,” the heart mentioned is not the physical element in the body. If it is not the physical organ, then what is it? Please allow me to briefly explain.
Other than a physical organ, “heart” may be defined as the seat of affections and passions, the seat of the will or understanding, determined purpose, disposition of the mind, etc. For something to happen there is a root cause, an originating source; it did not just happen on its own. In the realm of humanity, the same principle applies; for every action there is an originating source and . . . . .
