Description
“Everyone possesses something whether it is owned or borrowed. When we think of a possession, we think of something that has a belonging, something that is owned. For example, when people say that they own or rent a house or apartment, then that is a possession – they possess it. The same may be said about a vehicle or any object. In anything a person possesses, it does not matter what it may be, there is always the danger of losing it. This may be said of valuables such as jewelry, money, antiques, etc. An engagement ring may be lost or stolen, money lost or stolen, and antiques lost, stolen, or destroyed in a fire. It does not matter what the possession may be because it is only temporary. The possessor only possesses it while alive but, upon death, what he or she possessed is passed on to others. A person may possess great wealth but when death beckons and he or she departs this world, the wealth is left behind and another takes possession of it. This is a fact that cannot be escaped!”
