Description

A pilgrim, by definition, is one who travels in a foreign land, a wanderer. Another word that may be used for a pilgrim is nomad. A nomad is one who has no permanent abode or place to live. In a very real sense, the people of humanity are pilgrims. Even though we are alive on planet earth, it is not our permanent dwelling; we are just passing through. The moment we were born, our journey began and one day it will end. For some pilgrims, their journey ended early but for others, it was lengthy but eventually it concluded. Perhaps one way to phrase it would be to say that we are enroute to a destination and, it would be reasonable to ask what or where that destination may be. Some people think that physical death is the end of it, that there is no afterlife, but they are wrong. Why? Because every person is a living, eternal soul and even though the body may die, the soul does not; it continues to live. Where did soul of man come from? Please allow me to briefly explain.

When God created this world and humanity, He breathed into man life and man became a living soul. “And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” {Genesis 2:7} Later God created Eve and from this first couple came the rest of humanity, all of which are living and eternal souls. Because God made the eternal soul, He alone can destroy it. But now the question is, what happens to that eternal soul when the physical body dies? Does it cease to exist? The answer to this last question is, no, it does not cease to exist; it enters eternity in one of two places and, these places are Heaven or Hell and this immediately upon physical death. There is not an in-between place as some religions teach; there is NOT a place called purgatory.

The only souls who enter Heaven are. . . . . .

This is a 4-page tract.
