Description
There is a “myth” about salvation and this tract briefly refutes that. Here is a portion of the tract:
The meaning of “salvation” can mean different things to different people. “Appropriately in theology, the redemption of man from the bondage of sin and liability to eternal death, and the conferring on him everlasting happiness. This is the great salvation.” [Websters Dictionary 1828] There is a common and even popular teaching/belief among religious elements that when a repentant sinner trusts Jesus Christ as Saviour, that that person did not become truly saved for eternity. In other words, there is a belief that a person can lose their salvation. But wait a minute – is that true, really? When a person is physically born, can that physical birth become undone and the mother needs to become pregnant again with that same person? Of course, not and to teach that would be to deny the facts. Now then, let us look at undeniable truths from God’s Word, the Bible. Here are seven Bible verses without comment.
- “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” [John 3:16]
- “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” [Romans 10:13]
- “And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.” “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” [1 John 5:11, 13]
- “And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” [Acts 2:21]
- “That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.” [John 3:15]
- “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.” [John 10:28]
- “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” [Romans 6:23]
Friend, in the Bible there is not one single verse that says a repentant sinner who truly trusted Jesus Christ as Saviour, that that person can ever lose their salvation. In other words, once saved, always saved. That does not mean saved [born again] people have a right to live as they please.
THIS IS A 4-PAGE TRACT.
