This excerpt is from this tract:
A mediator is a person who goes between parties
at variance for the purpose of reconciling them.
God’s Word, the Bible, says that ALL humans are born with a sinful nature that they inherited from Adam. {Romans 5:12} Adam, the first human created by God disobeyed a commandment of God and as a result sin entered the realm of humanity. {Genesis 2:16-17; 3:6} As a result the natural state of humanity is enmity against God {Romans 8:7} and this is why we have sin in the world. Sin varies from the so-called “little white lie” to crimes, wars, wickedness, and abominations innumerable. Examples may be read in Romans 1:22-32 and Galatians 5:19-21. The murder of unborn people {called abortion} is a result of desperately wicked hearts. {Jeremiah 17:9} The depth of wicked and spiritually depraved hearts is infinitely unmeasurable because, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” {Jeremiah 17:9} This is the situation of humanity, and all humanity is alienated from God and are under His wrath. {John 3:36, Romans 1:8; 2:8; Ephesians 5:6} God told Adam that if he disobeyed Him, the result would be death and that death included spiritual and physical death for “For the wages of sin is death.” {Romans 6:23a} Cemeteries are replete with the testimony of physical death, but what about spiritual death? Every person is a living soul and upon physical death, the eternal soul will go to one of two places – Heaven or Hell. There is NOT any place in between! When people are born, they are already dead in trespasses and sin because of their sin nature. {Ephesians 2:1} Hell and its flames are a very place. {Luke 16:23-24} Sin is what has separated/alienated humanity from God and without a mediator the situation of humanity is hopeless. Humanity is incapable of redeeming itself regardless of how hard it tries to – it NEEDS a mediator, someone who is qualified to intervene on behalf of humanity. Can such a mediator be found?
Because God loves humanity so much, and that means ALL of us, He has provided a qualified mediator. . . . .
THIS IS A 4-PAGE TRACT.
