Description

There are those who believe that a truly saved person can lose salvation for one reason or another. There are teachings on “conditional eternal security” or “conditional salvation security.” Proponents of these teachings will twist reference verses from the King James Bible and use perverted translations such as the New King James Bible [NKJV], English Standard Version [ESV] and the like.

Every word in the Bible is important and there is none there by accident. On the matter of salvation, the Bible is very clear about this as it addresses how sin came into the world that God created, why a person needs to be saved, the forgiveness of sin, eternal security of the believer, the condemnation of those who die without having been saved, and more. Sadly, there are those refuse to believe what God declares to be so in His word and among those are some who believe that a person once truly saved, may lose their salvation. In other words, they do not believe in the eternal security of the believer. Here in 1 John Chapter 5 are four verses that we would like to examine closely. In doing so, we will look at the Greek meaning of some words and we will call upon Christian theologians from yesteryear. The four verses we would like to examine are 10-13 and to avoid any possible misunderstanding of these verses, the previous nine verses will be included to provide a complete background leading up to them. This is a 47-page book.
