As we begin our study of the “fruit of the Spirit,” comments from men of yesteryear will be included and, because of the age in which they lived, some of their phraseology and spelling of words may differ from ours of today. Wherever a book of the Bible was abbreviated, it is spelled out.

Towards the end of this study, we wrote this, but it seems fitting to include it here as part of the introduction. We wrote: As believers, that is Christians, our heavenly Father has given us everything we need to live a victorious life for Him, and that includes the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit not only has sealed us, but He also indwells us and that is one of the lessons we learn from our study of the “fruit of the Spirit.”

It is the prayer of this writer that those who read this study, that the Holy Spirit will use it in their life to help them grow spiritually for the honor and glory of our Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ.
