Every year we have the celebration of Christmas, and over the years it has become increasingly commercialized. Months BEFORE Christmas businesses begin to announce and promote their “Black Friday” sales. People who claim that they do not believe in or celebrate Christmas still take advantage of the sales. Sadly, even Christians, those who profess to have trusted Jesus Christ as Savior, become so caught up in the commercial stampede for store sales and merchandise. Hollywood has produced so-called Christmas movies that, when examined, ninety-nine percent of them completely miss the point of Christmas. The word “Christmas” begins with Christ, and Christ is who Christmas is all about—or at least it should be!
