This is an opening excerpt from this tract:
The primary definition of the word “afford” is “To be able to undergo, manage, or the like, without serious consequence.” There are many dictionaries, and they all offer various suggestions for the word “afford” and how it may be used. For example, Afford is a verb that means:
- To be able to pay for something.
- To manage to bear without serious harm.
- To provide or supply something naturally.
Usage Examples
- “We were too poor to afford a doctor.”
- “He’ll be able to afford a house next year.”
- “Don’t spend more than you can afford.”
Sadly, many people die when they least expect it to happen. As this was being written, in one state there was flash flooding, and many people were swept away. They did not expect it to happen, but it did. This may come as a shock to some people because they never want to think about it but, someday, they will die. That is a fact that cannot be disputed.
THIS IS A 6-PAGE TRACT.
