SCRIPTURAL BAPTISM

Do you know or understand what baptism is all about? Surprisingly enough, there are many people who do not. This particular Gospel tract from Pilgrim Fundamental Baptist Press explains what baptism is, from a scriptural viewpoint. Here are a few lines from the tract; “The word “baptize” comes from the Greek word “bapto” which means “to whelm, i.e. cover wholly with a fluid.”  Baptism properly defined means to be completely submerged, as in being totally covered. In Christianity when we say that a person has been “baptized”, we are saying that, that person has been completely immersed in water. We call this a “believer’s baptism.” Such baptism may have taken place in a church baptistry, a lake, pond, river, or a swimming pool, but it was ALWAYS a complete immersion. A complete immersion is the only type taught in the Word of God, thus making invalid all other forms of so-called baptisms. To be “baptized” by sprinkling is of man and not of God; to claim otherwise is to claim an authority higher than God’s Word; such an authority has its origin in Satan himself for there is NO AUTHORITY higher than God’s Word.
A person may have been baptized in the scriptural manner, but that does not mean that he or she was a scriptural candidate for baptism. So then, let’s take a brief, closer look at scriptural baptism as taught by the Word of God.
First of all, baptism has NOTHING to do with saving a person (as in getting saved, born again) or keeping them saved (as in eternal security).”

The finished size of this tract is approximately 3.5 x 5.5 and is 6-pages with a double fold when folded. It is available from Pilgrim Fundamental Baptist Press for a contribution of $2.00 per 100 copies, plus postage.

SALVATION AND ETERNAL SECURITY

Is it possible for a person to be so wicked that he or she cannot be saved? NOT according to God’s Word! The Bible has much to say about a person being saved or born again as we call it. This particular Gospel tract, “Salvation and Eternal Security” addresses this issue. Here is a portion from the tract, “ “Can I be saved from my sins? And if I do get saved, what happens if I sin again? Will I lose my salvation?” Have you ever had these questions, or similar ones on your mind? Did you know that it is possible for any person to know how to be saved, and then to have the assurance of that salvation and eternal security (eternal salvation)? That’s right! You can know right now how to be saved for all eternity. Want to know? Good! Here’s how.
The Bible says that we are all sinners by birth and in deed, and that we need to be saved. (Ro. 5:12) We stand in need of salvation. But there’s just one problem – we cannot do anything to save ourselves. No one else can save us since they, like us, are sinners standing in need of salvation. (Ro. 3:10) They’re in the same predicament as you and I! But salvation is possible and available because God provided a means whereby a sinner can be saved. How is this possible? . . .”

THE ROMANS ROAD

“THE Romans Road is an old road; construction on it was begun about six thousand years ago. Approximately two thousand years ago it was completed. Yes, the Romans Road is an old road, and it’s a famous one, too. Since construction on this road began, people from all walks of life have been traveling it. No, not everyone has traveled the whole length of it. Some of those who began the trip died on the way (accidents, war, suicide, illnesses, etc.), others were enticed to use another road, and still others didn’t care about the trip. However, there have been a few who went all the way, and were ever so glad they did.

Perhaps you haven’t realized it, but you are on the Romans Road this very moment.  You say that you have never heard of this famous road! Well, then, please allow me to lead you down it.”

Many soul winners use what we commonly call “The Romans Road” when talking to a lost person about salvation. This particular Gospel tract talks about the Romans Road but with a different approach, albeit still scriptural. This tract is available in English, French, Polish, and Portuguese for a contribution of $1.00 per 100 copies, plus postage.

The Romans Road is also available as a bookmark in the languages of English, French, Portuguese, Czech, Spanish, Russian, and Ukrainian for a contribution of $2.00 per 100 copies, plus postage.

R.I.P.

It is a proven fact; eventually everyone will die! some people die young and some people die old, but they all die. This Gospel tract, “R.I.P.” addresses dying and the so-called Resting In Peace idea. Here is part of what the tract says, “It is an interesting adventure to visit various cemeteries, especially those with very old grave markers. As one surveys the cemetery and reads the names and dates on the markers, he is brought face-to-face with the reality that one day life as we know it will be over, and that death is no respecter of persons. Sooner or later death comes to the rich and poor, famous and infamous, learned and ignorant, young and old. The beckoning call of death comes when least expected.
Reading the inscriptions on the grave markers one may see the initials “R.I.P.” which mean “Rest In Peace”. Possibly there may be similar inscriptions. But, are they really resting in peace? In those graves are the bodies, or remains of people, but they are in a state of decay. So, then, their bodies cannot possibly be resting in peace.
The soul of man is eternal and does not die, nor will experience death as we know it.  Speaking of death and the eternal soul, Ecclesiastes 12:7 says, “Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was; and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.” The soul is eternal, it is that part of you which goes on living after the body dies, but is it “resting in peace”?”

REAL PEACE IN A TROUBLED WORLD

“The Berlin wall has come down, and the     Communist barbed wire and guard posts are gone. We are told that Communism is dead, and that those countries and people once under Communist rule are now free. We’re told that the world is at peace, so they say. The truth of the matter is that the world is NOT at peace. In 1994 American armed forces were sent to Haiti. In Rwanda Hutus and Tutus slaughtered each other. In Bosnia the country is destroyed by ethnic fighting. Iraq rattles its war sabres while Israelis are being shot at by their foes and murdered by homicide bombers. And so the list grows and goes. The president of the United States sends forth his Secretary of State to negotiate peace while dispatching the military to enforce it.  The fact is, world peace just does not exist – it cannot in a world so ravaged by sin! It’s no wonder that individual people and whole nations are in constant turmoil. But don’t despair, friend, for peace, that quietness and rest, is possible in this present world of chaos. . . .”

With the world being in such a messy and getting worse, this Gospel tract explains how a person can have the peace that passes all understanding. Real Peace In A Troubled World is available from Pilgrim Fundamental Baptist Press for a contribution of $1.00 per 100 copies, plus postage. It is available in English, French, Portuguese, Spanish, Russian, Danish, K’ekchi, Japanese, and Polish.

PARDONED

The following is from the first couple of paragraphs of the Gospel tract, “Pardoned.”

“WHAT does it mean to grant a pardon? Perhaps a definition of the word will help us to understand it a little better. Websters New World Dictionary defines pardon as: “(1) to release from punishment; not punish for crimes or offenses (2) to cancel or not exact penalty for (an offense); forgive (3) to excuse or forgive (a person) for some minor fault, discourtesy, etc.” A pardon, then, does not remove the guilt or declare that the offense never happened, but rather it (the pardon) forgives the offender and thereby releases that person from the penalty so justly deserved.
The true story is told of two criminals who were sentenced to die for their crimes. One of the men publicly admitted that they were getting what they deserved. But that’s not the end of the story – there’s more to it. The crimes which brought about the physical punishment were caused by the person having a sinful nature. The physical punishment in this case, death, was just the beginning of a greater punishment to come – eternal damnation in hell. Of the two men about to die, one received a pardon, while the other did not. “Why?” you may ask. Because of what one man did, and that the other failed to do. The story is true, and here are the details.”

This tract s available from Pilgrim Fundamental Baptist Press for a contribution of $200 per 100 copies, plus postage. The tract is 4-pages wit a single fold; the finished size is approximately 3.5 x 5.5.

ONE WAY

“A number of years ago while serving in the U.S. Army, I was stationed at Arlington Hall Station in Arlington, Va.  During that time I was the non-Commissioned Officer in charge of local procurement. The duties of this position required travel into the local towns for the purchase of certain items. Like most cities,  Alexandria, Va. and Washington, D.C. can be very troublesome to the driver who is not familiar with the streets. And just to make driving all the worse, there were those ‘oft familiar’ “One Way” signs. There were times when it seemed almost impossible to get from one place to another because of those “One Way” signs.
However, the “One Way” signs were there for a purpose, that being the orderly flow of traffic. It didn’t take long for me  to learn that if ever I was to get to where I was going, then the “One Way” signs had to be used.
For the sojourners of this life, to get to Heaven they must go by THE ONE WAY. In John 14:6,  responding to a question by Thomas, Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me.”  Did you notice that Jesus did not say that He was a way among many? He said, “I am the way.” In other words, what Christ was saying is that if we ever expect to go to Heaven, we must do so by way of Him. Just as there is a reason for “One Way” signs in a city, there is a reason for Christ being THE ONE WAY to Heaven.  Please allow me to briefly explain why.”

This Gospel tract, “One Way,” explains very carefully that Jesus Christ and He alone is the One Way, THE ONLY WAY to Heaven. This is a 6-page tract with a double fold; the finished size is approximately 3.5 x 5.5 and is available in English,  and French for a contribution of $2.00 per 100 copies, plus postage.

NO TIME FOR GOD

“Busy, busy, busy! People everywhere are just so busy and they have no time for God. For the young person the attitude is, “Please, I am too young and, besides, I have my whole life to live. Perhaps later I will have time for God.” But the Bible says, “Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth” (Ecclesiasts 12:1)
As the years pass by and college is entered, there is still no time for God. “Please, not now! I am so busy studying and working my way through college that I have no time for God. That will have to wait until afterwards.”
College graduation passes and the next phase of life begin; find a job and get established. “Can’t you see that I just got this job that is so time consuming and I have very little time for myself. I’m really sorry but there is just no time for God right now. Perhaps later on there will be.”
Along comes just the right mate; love is in the air and family life is begun. “Between my job and now the responsibility of my family that requires so much attention, there is no time for God left in my already crowded schedule.”The children are now grown; some have gotten married and are parents themselves. “Time has gone by so fast! Why, it seemed like just yesterday I was a youth and look at me now, I’m a grandparent. Between my job, social responsibilities, and being a grandparent there is just no time for God anywhere. I promise though, once I get through all of this I will have time for Him and come to church.”
In the retirement years there is so much to do with other senior citizens from all walks of life. “I really did not know that senior citizens could be so busy, what with all of the socials, senior trips and all there is no time left for anything, especially no time for God.”
The twilight years have arrived; it seemed like just yesterday there was a youth inside this crumbling shell of a body. Wherever did the time go? It went by so fast! On the stage of life the curtain begins to be lowered; soon the play of life will be over and throughout it there was no time for God.” So many things to be done that were left undone, but there was always no time for God. Soon though there will be plenty of time as the portals of time are passed through and the land of eternity is entered. Here, there will always be plenty of time, time to remember every opportunity that was allowed to slip by, every opportunity to turn to God, every opportunity to lay up treasure in Heaven. But it will forever be too late because there was always no time for God.

The above is a portion of the tract, “No Time for God.” This is a 6-page tract with a double fold; the finished size is approximately 3.5 x 5.5 and is available in English, Spanish, and K’ekchi for a contribution of $2.00 per 100 copies, plus postage.

MEMBERS ONLY

It seems that everywhere we turn more and more of the “politically correct” (PC) nonsense is showing up; this is all so foolish! Pilgrim Fundamental Baptist Press has Gospel tract entitled, “Members Only” and it is sure to make the PC people very unhappy. However, the tract is according to God’s Word and that is what really matters. Here is a portion of the tract, “Members Only:”  “Discrimination! I’m being discriminated against!” More and more we are hearing this cry, or one similar to it. Boys want to be allowed to play on an all-girl  team, and girls insist on being accepted on an otherwise all-male team. Organizations and clubs that were traditionally all-male have been ordered by the courts to accept women into their ranks. More and more exclusion from clubs, organizations, sports teams, the work place, etc., because of race, religion, national origin, gender, or sexual orientation is being viewed as not”politically correct.”  Refusal to rent a dwelling to a homosexual or lesbian, or to give employment to one is viewed as illegal and discriminatory. Churches have even been known to be sued because they discriminated and refused to hire someone whose lifestyle was contrary to beliefs of the respective church.  Those who refuse to yield to the advancement of  the new “politically correct” way of thinking are threatened with court action. The time is coming and, yea, now is upon us that all those who would live Godly in this present evil world can expect, and will receive persecution from all quarters of life. However, come what may, there is one area of discrimination that society, government, and the judicial system cannot, and will not change. They can pass and enforce all the laws they want, but they can’t change it! They can threaten all they want, but it will not do any good. They are without any power whatsoever to change it! And what may that be? WHO GOES TO HEAVEN!”
